With spring on our door step and summer not far behind the socialising season is almost here again so its Spring Maintenance time!
Get ready to pack away your winter woollies and find those sandals and shorts for summer BBQ’s,  picnics and fun get togethers.

Spring is also a time to get those jobs to be done around the house before the weather gets too hot for DIY and is more suited on days by the pool or beach.

The list of To Do’s can be broken down into groups of maintenance, cleaning and removal.

In the maintenance group:

Check gas bottles, batteries in smoke detectors, fire extinguishers,  seals on refrigerators and light fittings for loose wires and switches.

Replace loose tiles on the roof and any cracked grout in your wet areas. Look for paving that is uneven and a potential hazard, patch up any rusting painted areas and check the chemical level in your pool.

Cleaning should include, turning mattress’s, airing pillows and doona’s,  dusting refrigerator coils, washing outdoor furniture and  surfaces, removing grease from BBQ’s, ovens and perhaps shampoo the carpets and get windows and window treatments cleaned.

Remove out of date, makeup, prescriptions, panty and fridge food that has been lurking at the back.  Get rid of broken pool toys, garden items and dead plants that may not have survived the winter.

Looking after your home and the belongings in it prolong their life and gives you and your family a clean and safe environment to enjoy the days of summer.
