Renovation Drama

I recently heard of a renovation drama from someone who attempted to complete a home makeover while working full time.

The home owner researched the service providers that were needed and felt comfortable their skills and competency to complete the process while she was only 30 minutes away at work.

What was to follow was a succession of faulty workmanship, un-returned phone calls, heated arguments, state managers for products being called in and stress levels reaching a peak.

Why is the simple task of finding a service, trade or product that does what it advertises be so difficult?

Unfortunately renovation horror stories are rife and things invariably go pear shaped with not only extra time and patience being expended but quite often additional funds to get the problem sorted.

Customer service and satisfaction seems to have all but disappeared in a lot of areas and finding that person that will go the extra step to provide you with a satisfactory outcome is nearly extinct.

Don’t give yourself a coronary trying to deal with different providers while busy at work or on holiday,  delegate the task to a professional who will get all the phone calls and you only have to communicate with one person.
