It’s still boxing day and I have continued on my schedule of getting my home de-cluttered ready to welcome the new year in.

I have a lot of big goals for 2011 and by de-cluttering I’m making sure I have space for better and bigger things to happen in my life!

In this post I continue with my kitchen.

I’m not short on space and although I know where everything is, this new year de-clutter is about being more focused and removing everything that does not fit with my value set.

These clips are about going through the de-cluttering process with a few tips thrown in, rather than discussing all the different organising options available.

As I mentioned in my last post,  filming my own clips is a really big learning curve for me.  Tee hee, just so you know I am happy and excited to be de-cluttering…the serious look on my face is me concentrating!  This is something I definitely need to work on 🙂

My first video is on de-cluttering and cleaning my fridge.

Next I tackled corner cupboard number one…just a correction for this clip, at the end  I point to my plastic cups and say ‘this is for my visitors- I meant to say ‘my visitors’ children and picnics’!

With my second corner cupboard – I just want to add another tip some of you might find useful:

With items like a rice cooker that take exact measures, create a label with the instructions.  I’ve done this with my rice cooker and even though it is peeling slightly, I’ve had that label on the lid for a couple of years now.  It’s really easy to do and is great for forgetful people like me who keep forgetting the ratio of water to uncooked rice 🙂

Another tip is to keep all your heavier items in lower cupboards to help prevent accidents.

My last cupboard for this de-clutter session, is my third corner cupboard and under the sink.
