Does the boot of your car hold a selection of all the facets of your life in one jumbled mess?

Bits of sports gear, clothes, shoes, used food containers and much more?

What if you had it organised neatly so you could lay your hands on whatever you needed and had clear spaces to put shopping or other temporary items?

The permanent objects in your boot should consist of some basic emergency items and if stored neatly and correctly they should not take up too much space leaving you plenty of room.

Items will differ depending on your lifestyle, children, pets, elderly family etc. but the basics should include:

  • Torch
  • Rain coat or poncho (Ponchos can be purchased for about $2)
  • Basic First Aid (band aids, antiseptic, bandage, tweezers, gloves) you can get the whole kit for under $50 from St Johns Ambulance
  • Fire blanket or Extinguisher (some insurance policies require extinguishers)
  • Blanket/rug/towel
  • Tow rope and tool kit
  • Umbrella – for shade and rain
  • Green bags for shopping

Anything that does not get used constantly needs to be removed and placed in the proper place e.g garage, shed, store room etc. To ensure things stay nice and neat and don’t roll around while driving there are a number of ways to store your belongings.

Supercheap Auto have a range of collapsible and light weight storage solutions. You can also use a plastic tub able to be purchased from Bunnings, Ikea, Big W etc. With our without lids.
