The environment on the other hand, is something we can all make a difference with. Finer Details has always been keen to reduce our environmental footprint and are constantly looking at ways to improve.
The owner of Finer Details, Sara Hall recently attended a talk by Carbon Neutral, this is what Sara has to say:
"Carbon Neutral have made it very easy for Finer Details to offset our fuel emissions. A quick call from Ben at Carbon Neutral and I had all my questions answered and knew how to take action.
Ben ran through my options and I decided to start by offsetting last year's fuel consumption - it was simple, either send the information through to Ben to work out or go on to their carbon calculator and work out what our consumption was. One quick look in our car service book gave us the exact kilometers driven and we were on our way.
It's very motivating to know that we have taken a small step to helping the environment and I hope you are inspired to do the same. I asked Ben to send through a few words about Carbon Neutral to hopefully sway you towards looking at the options available to you:
Carbon Neutral is a not for profit company working with hundreds of organisations to measure, reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions and support revegetation projects. Started in 2001, Carbon Neutral services include a Four Step Carbon Reduction Programme, carbon calculators and information on climate change, provision of carbon offsets, carbon sink establishment and revegetation projects.
Carbon Neutral plants native trees for carbon sequestration and to address other environmental issues. Trees are planted consistent with Kyoto criteria to build wind breaks, reduce soil erosion, help combat salinity, improve biodiversity and create habitat for native fauna. To date Carbon Neutral has planted over 1.5 million trees in Australia.
